Rabbits are fast, friendly, gregarious, and welcoming.

The Rabbits and the Squirrels share the island of Artami. The two kingdoms are ruled jointly by a Squirrel and Rabbit monarch pairing (Not usually romantic). The two kingdoms are thoroughly intertwined in all ways apart from where they generally choose to live; the squirrels prefer the forested mountains and the rabbits the open plains. The Rabbits are quite devoted to their ruler.

Rabbits are welcoming and have strong familial bonds and tend to live in large, extended households. Rabbits are quite social and are generally supportive of each other to a degree rarely seen in other lands. Orphans do not exist in Rabbit lands; if a kid loses its parents, it is immediately taken in by another family to raise as their own.

Artami has a spine of mountains running along its length, but these mountains are older and have many more passes through them. The climate on the west side of the island is subtropical forest and on the opposite the climate is subtropical steppe.

The Rabbits are lovers of open and subterranean spaces. Their villages and towns are often underground or partly underground. They are starting to expand to new lands. Their very fertile land varies from flat to hilly. Rabbits prefer low, subterranean, or semi-subterranean houses. Rabbit cities are built half-underground. They tend not to travel far to settle new lands, but some small settlements have popped up on the adjacent large island to the north of the one they share with the Squirrels.

Rabbits travel far and wide, settling, trading, and exploring. They are often hired overseas as domestic help due to their good reputation and congenial nature.

The realm of the Rabbits is considered a safe place to live and visit.

The Rabbits are excellent farmers and are vegetarian.

Rabbits prefer botanical names and names that imply swiftness and family.

Rabbits excel at horticulture and agriculture. They're good with orchards as well, where they overlap with the squirrels, often working together. They're good with keeping records and can often be found working in libraries.

The Rabbits produce produce, cordage, cotton, linen, other plant cloths, flowers, horticultural items, pottery, and musical instruments, especially tuned percussion. Rabbit musical groups are popular throughout the known lands and are noted for their rhythmic foot stomping to accompany the music.
