Mice are small, clever, nimble, and creative.

Mice can be high-strung but are generally kind, docile, and pacifist.

They treat those from all realms with respect and get along with all they meet. They sometimes hire Badgers to mine and build for them.

Mice don't make weapons in their mountain homeland, relying instead on living on land nobody else wants and on the Foxes for protection. In cities they can be coaxed into making guns, crossbows, and other complicated weaponry.

They have an agrarian society which is poor in resources and farmland but rich in woodlands. They have some gemstone mines in their realm. The Mouse kingdom is the second-smallest population of the ten known lands. They retreat underground for the long mountain winters and are adept inventors and tinkerers. They are also good with books and academia. The Mice are nice. They're sought after in other lands for domestic, educational, bookkeeping, and research positions. In Ashstone, the Mice are known to be good at art, calculations, inventing, and record-keeping. Mice are good at mechanics, silviculture, panning for gold, and finding gems.

In their homeland, Mice tend to only regularly associate with the Foxes as the only reasonable way down from the high mountains is through Fox territory. The two trade and are on good terms. Mice are generally looked on favourably by the other species.

Mice like names that indicate their skills, traits, and abilities. Mice change names as their skills and careers change.

Their primary exports are devices, clocks, doodads, doohickies, fiddly things, tinkery toys, bits and bobs, gadgets, toys, and automatons.
