'Jobs' - PCs can be 'hired' to 'work' can ring a bell (by typing a command to let players know that someone is working at that location). They need to stay where they are just long enough for any players to get to the worker. particular spots for a particular time for their income. PCs can also do as-needed work as mini-quests, and things can be found using the 'search' skill.
Market 'jobs' could include selling others' wares (as well as ones' own). For each sale of someone else's product, the worker gets a bonus in addition to their 'pay'. The sale would be done in the same manner as usual, game-wise. But the PC working would be 'logged in' to that job, so any sale in the market during that time credits that PC. This should happen with all jobs to encourage PCs to gather and RP when people are at particular jobs.

PCs can 'rent' market stalls to sell from.
Spending money
PCs can spend money on buying items, transport, skill lessons (should PCs be required to have someone teach them a skill?), and rent (how to implement rent?) Or rather than rent, a PC must buy their home outright.
